Amaka Obi Receive more Commendations As Council Boss Inspects Installation Of Safety Barricades On Nnobi Market.

Stakeholders and residents of Nnobi community have hailed the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Obi Amaka Iyom on the progress of the installation cum Beautification of Nnobi market.

Hon Amaka received the commendations during an extensive inspection of the ongoing installation of Safety Barricades in Nnobi market, on Monday.

Hon Amaka was in company of the President General of Nnobi community, Barr Dominic Savio Okpala and community women leader of Nnobi, Lady Ifeyinwa Nnekwulugo (Odiuko n'mba) during the inspection of the project. 

Inspecting the barricade project, Amaka Obi expressed satisfaction on the pace of work, but urged Nnobi Town Union and Market Traders Association to take ownership of the the barricade by providing maximum security against vandalisation by hoodlums.

On the essence of the barricade, Amaka Obi explained that the safety barricade had been erected to prevent trader's from displaying of goods by the road side. 


Explaining further, she said the barricade was installed in order to prevent buses, tippers and trailers which usually crushed people to death from plying it on regular basis.

She noted that the display of goods and other commodities on the road side have been causing traffic jam and uneasy flow of people. Without the barricade, Amaka Obi said traders would continue to display their goods by the road side.

Also speaking at the inspection, the President General of Nnobi community, Barr Dominic Savio Okpala lauded the state government for erecting the barricade, adding that the barricade would enhance easy flow of traffic, goods and services.

He stated that the barricade would help in reducing accidents and deaths on the road and promised that the Town Union would continue to enforce measures that will to regulate traffic control.

Speak after speaker pour eulogies on Amaka Obi and assured of their continued support to Gov Soludo led administration and to the T.C Chairman.

Other stakeholders present during the inspection include: Barr Martins Okeke, Chief Okey Ezenwenyi (Nze Akonobi), Hon Ikechukwu Okadigbo Nnobi amongst others
