 Hon. Amaka Obi Commend People Of Nnobi For The Peaceful Election.

......Urges Akonu To Serve As A Positive Role Model For Nnobi Youths.


The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) today commended the people of Nnobi for the peaceful election that produced, Amb. Chiagoziem Achonu, as the newly elected Nnobi Youth President.


Speaking after the election, council boss stated the need for the newly elected president of Nnobi, Achonu to effectively communicate with Nnobi youths and understand what motivates them, stating that he should always plan and execute a variety of activities that aim to positively impact the lives of young people.

She urges Akonu to be a positive role model not only to Nnobi youths but Idemili and Anambra State and also demonstrate appropriate behavior, attitudes and values, urging all the youths to join hands with Achonu for the betterment of Nnobi, Idemili and Anambra State.


The election was graced by State Asatu President and his deputy, Deputy TC Chairman, Hon. Ebuka Smart, APGA Chairman Idemili South, Chief Kizito Anoliefo, PG Nnobi and his executives, Idemili South Local Government Secretary, Hon. Evaristus Ofido, Councillors and many others.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
