 Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi Inspects Clearing And Cutting Of Overgrown Grasses.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) has inspected and ensured that overgrown grasses along Nnobi- Nkpor road to Idemili South boundary and Mmiri John, Ojoto were cut down to avoid different kinds of reptiles in the area.

Council boss said, it is required that grasses and weeds should be keep shorter to help reduce the risk of fire during dry season, stating that tall grasses and weeds are the perfect environment for insects like mosquitoes to dwell and weeds are an excellent place for several different types of rodents.

She urged umu Idemili South to always keep the growth of tall grass and weeds under control to avoid creating a serious fire hazard during dry season.

By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
