 Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi Inspects Drilling Of Borehole Water At Eke Market.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) is executing another humanitarian project by drilling a borehole water for market women at Eke market, Awka-Etiti. 


Recall that last week, council boss flagged off drilling of borehole water for market women at Eke Awka-Etiti, stating that every market need clean water which according to her, equally had a net effect on the quality of food items that would be sold to the consumers.


Speaking during the Inspection, council boss said, water is the most important natural resource of life and therefore our existence as humans largely depend on the quality of water we consume. She further said that one of her agenda is to make the people of the council area feel the impact of the local government, no matter how little it could be.

Iyom Idemili further said, she sees the project of providing clean, portable and quality water to market women as a must do service for the sake of their health and to be healthy, noting that she will do more as they proceed in the issue of governance.

The market women commended her for all the support especially towards clean water in the market and pledged their support for Idemili South and Anambra State Government.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
