 Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi Bags Ambassadorial Award Of Excellence.


The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) has added another feather in her cap as she bagged Ambassadorial Award of Excellence for her outstanding performance in the council area.

The award was conferred on her by United Widows Foundation.

Amb. Nkiru Duru, the leader of the forum, while making the presentation maintained that Hon. Amaka Obi has performed beyond expectation. 

Council boss was commended in the area of attracting roads, rehabilitation, welfare of the aged men and women, health services, education and human capital development

Hon. Amaka Obi also received portrait from Mr Ifechukwu, Bonita Agro Feeds And Poultry for her developmental strides in the council area especially in youth empowerment.


In her reaction, Hon. Amaka Obi appreciated God for giving her the opportunity to serve humanity, she also applauded Governor Charles Soludo and his amiable wife, Dr. Mrs Nonye Soludo for the platform given to her to serve people of Idemili South.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
