MASSIVE CLEAN UP ONGOING IN DUNUKOFIA LGA

 Massive Clean up ongoing in Dunukofia LGA


In line with the mandate of the Governor of Anambra Prof Chukwuma Soludo CFR to build a clean, green and prosperous state the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia LGA Mr Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum has embarked on massive clean up of the council area.


The clean up exercise which is tagged Dunu Waste Management, started work few weeks ago, with the cleaning of the Local Government headquarters and its environs, and has continued to advance the clean up through communities and villages in the council area.


The team has cleared many litter points and waste dump sites in the council area, ensuring that the local government environment is clean and healthy in line with the solution government agenda of clean, green and prosperous Anambra State.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
