Hon. Azubuike  Okoye(Odenigbo) member of Anambra State Local Government Service Commission today paid a working visit to Idemili South Local Government Area, under the leadership of Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) and was well received by top council functionaries.

Hon. Azubuike Okoye in his opening remarks, commended Hon. Amaka Obi for the giant strides in the council area, stating that the visit is a statutory function to help the commission ensure that workers' welfare is not compromised, know their areas of challenges, proffer solutions, adding that the Commission would be close to the workforce.

In her reaction, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) welcomed the Local Government Service Commission ably represented by Hon. Azubuike Okoye to the council secretariat, adding that she knows the members of the Commission as men of integrity with an excellent track record.

The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Kelvin Anazodo, in his vote of thanks, appreciated the Commission's visit, while assuring of sustainability of staff's welfare packages.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
