FRSC Corps Decorates Idemili South Council Chair, Amaka Obi As Special Marshal

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Amaka Obi has said that her administration will continue to work for the betterment of the people of Idemili South, mostly on the areas of traffic decongestion with the Federal Road Safety Corps to ensure that road users in the council area adhere to traffic rules and regulations.


Hon Amaka stated when she received in audience, Officers of Federal Road Safety Corps led by the State Coordinator, Esumai Patrick, State ICT, Oyenuga Adeniyi and the Unit Cordinator, Igbokwubili Dan at the Local Government Headquarters, Ojoto.


Hon Amaka who explained that the services rendered by FRSC is quite humanitarian, said her administration will continue to promote values that will ensure safety on the road and make driving safer, easier and more pleasureable.


Speaking earlier, the Corps State Coordinator of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Esumai Patrick commended the Amaka Obi- led administration for embarking on the barricading and beautification of Nnobi market and mandating commercial bus drivers and keke riders to start making use of the motor park and designated bus stop which he observed is critical to the safety of road users.



Highlight of the visit was the decoration of Hon Amaka as special marshal of the FRSC.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
