 Dunukofia TC Chairman, Onyemaobi, Celebrates  Archbishop Valerian Okeke on his 70th Birthday


On behalf of my family, the Transition Committee, and the entire homogeneous people of Dunukofia Local Government Area, I convey my birthday wishes to you, Archbishop Valerian Okeke, the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese and the Metropolitan Bishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province.


Your Grace You are a shining light to Nigerian Christendom and a father; your episcopacy has manifested through your love for the church, shepherding the people of God.

Under your leadership, the Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province has grown into the second archdiocese with the second number of dioceses, thus showing your efforts and commitment towards growing the church in Nigeria.


Your 70th birthday is a landmark celebration of God's goodness and love towards you all these years.


The entire Dunukofia people, and indeed, ndi Anambra, are proud of you. I pray that your remaining years of pastoring the people will be filled with peace and good health of mind and body.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
