The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) yesterday attended the burial ceremony of Sir Jenkis Nzewi, in Iruowelle village, Awka Etiti.
The deceased was the father of Engr. Emeka Nzewi. Hon. Amaka Obi said Late Sir Jenkis Nzewi lived a life of service to humanity and had transferred the same to his children.
Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Obi condoled with the members of the family, the kindred and Iruowelle village for the loss, stating that it is a celebration of life in honour of their late father because he bequeathed and added value to the community, Idemili and Anambra State.
*As we gather here, not to mourn but to celebrate a great man, father, grand father, let us all emulate the footsteps he has bequeathed to us.
"I stand here on behalf of Idemili South Local Government to extend our heartfelt condolences to Nzewi family, his kindred and Iruowelle village, that we have lost a father who believes in God."
She prayed for God to grant repose to the soul of the departed, comfort Engr. Emeka Nzewi and his entire family and give them the strength to bear their loss.
