The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) was honoured by *International Federation Of Women Lawyers(FIDA), Anambra State chapter with the Trailblazer Leadership Award*


This award celebrates her outstanding contributions towards the development of Idemili South, Anambra and Nigeria at large.



Hon. Amaka Obi who was represented by Mrs Olie Anthonia JP said she is truly humbled to be recognized by FIDA, Anambra State. Council boss who was honoured for the exemplary leadership she has demonstrated in the council area noted that her aim was to take Idemili South to the next level of development and to achieve Idemili of our dreams. 


She dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo and his amiable wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo for giving her an opportunity to serve umu Idemili South, and also to the good people of Idemili South for their prayers and support towards achieving a greater Idemili South Local Government.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
