Idemili South Council Chair, Amaka Obi Tasks Women on Love, Societal Role

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Amaka Obi Amaka Iyom, has stressed the need for love and for women to remain focused on their noble roles in the society as mothers, especially in the lives of their husbands and children.
Hon Amaka who spoke during the visit of the United Business Women Association of Nigeria, a non- governmental organization advised them on the need for women to show love to each other, irrespective of class or political status of their husbands in the society and to always be conscious of their children’s activities both at home and outside the home.
Hon Amaka who maintained that all human beings are equal before God, noted that those in authority are there by God’s providence and should reciprocate such benevolence by regarding everyone as equals.
According to her, monitoring of children’s behaviors and activities will help curb societal ills such as prostitution, child abuse, drug abuse and robbery, pointing out that the society can be reformed with some extra efforts from women.
She maintained that the prevailing peace in the state was due to the fact that both Governor Soludo and his wife, Nonye are a Godfearing couple committed to enthroning peace and Good Governance in the State while noting that Mr Governor is keeping to his campaign promises of a prosperous, livable, beautiful and smart homeland.
In their respective remarks, the founder United Business Women Association of Nigeria, Ambassador Dr Stella Duru and the State coordinator of the Organization Hon Mrs Ngozi Obiakor (Madam choice) applauded the remarkable feats of the Hon Amaka Obi led administration in empowering the women and youths through various interventions such as skills acquisition.
The visit was climaxed by presentation of the group uniform to the council chairman and also present were Idemili south Cordinator Hon MRS Chinenye L Okpalachukwu (Decent lady) amongst others.
