Idemili South Council Chair, Amaka Obi Commends Anambra Governor over move towards Touting

Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Obi Amaka Iyom has commeded Gov Soludo on the recent launching of the State Special Anti Touting Squad. 

She noted that Soludo's laudable steps taken so far were to ensure that the people are protected from unauthorized persons who have been collecting levies from the traders in one way or the other and as well acting on behalf of government.

She lamented that over a time these unauthorized persons have continued to distablize the system set up by the State Government towards revenue collection by collecting levies and tolls along highways and roads by individuals or groups purportedly acting on behalf of the government.

She remarked that in the People's Manifesto, that securing a better society for Ndị Anambra is one of the agenda of the Soludo led administration whiling commending Gov Soludo for the Anti Touting Squad.


She added that with the development in place, the State Government have succeeded in dismantling the activities of these individuals who are constituting a nuisance in Anambra by deploying crude tactics to extort money from the traders and commercial vehicles plying highways.

 World Sight Day: Hon. Amaka Obi Advise Residents Of Idemili South On Eye Care. By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
