 Dr Mrs Thelma Ezeonu Gives Succour To Over 300 Women In Ifite Ogbeaduji Community

No fewer than three hundred women have received succour, as the wife of Special Title holder, prominent Stakeholder and illustrious son of Nnobi –Ikemba Nnobi, Dr Mrs Thelma Ezeonu, on Monday distributed food items to women in four wards of Ifite Ogbeaduji community of Nnobi in Idemili South Council Area. 

While addressing the women, the Chairman of Ifite Ogbeaduji community, Comr Obioma Izuegbunam, said the items were provided by the wife of Ikemba Nnobi, Dr Mrs Thelma Ezeonu, to cushion the effect the beneficiaries economic hardship following the petrol subsidy removal which resulted to recent inflation and hike in price of staple foods. 

The beneficiaries were drawn from all the four (4) wards in Ifite Ogbeaduji community namely: Umuezeobi, Ihuolile, Dunagha and Odokwe of ward 7,8,9 and 10 respectively. 

The items distributed included bags of rice, beans and loaves of bread

Also speaking, the Nnobi Community women leader, Lady Ifeyinwa Nnekwelugo (Odiuko n' mba) who was on ground during the distribution exercise, commended Dr Thelma Ezeonu for her magnanimity and most importantly, giving back to the society at this critical time of economic hardship and also urged the women to reciprocate the gesture by living in peace, and engage in viable economic ventures that would complement their husband’s efforts to sustain the family.

Speaking earlier, the ward leader of Ihuolile Comr Chigbogu Okonkwo described the support as timely as it would cushion the lives of the women and their families and also commended Dr Thelma Ezeonu for her resolve to support women in the community. 



Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs Ikegbe, and Mrs Stella Ezeji said the gesture would surely assist them during this economic hardship.
