Governor Soludo Commissions School In Idemili South LGA

Soludo ably represented the Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma Udeh commissions a newly renovated five-classroom block at Enuogwugwu Central School Ojoto.

The renovated school is a testament to the transition committee chairman commitment to education as a tool for development.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at Enuogwugwu Central school Ojoto, Commissioner Ngozi Chuma Udeh explained that basic education is one of the key priority of Mr Governor. 


She noted that the project comes with tremendous benefits to the community, including the provision of a conducive learning environment for the pupils. 

Prof Chuma Udeh equally lauded Mr Governor on his Educational Transformation Agenda  in the State, mostly the recruitment of 8,115 teachers in the state. 


She stated that T.C chairman handled the renovation of the school properly for the pupils to enable them to learn comfortably. She congratulated the pupils for being of good conduct. 

Prof Chuma Udeh also assured that the Solution Mantra of Gov Soludo will be replicated across all the schools in the state and called on corporate entities and individuals operating in the state to partner with the state government to see that the vision becomes a reality as enviosned in the PPCP Model of Gov Soludo led administration. 


Admonishing the head teachers against subletting the school facilities for social or religious activities, Prof Chuma Udeh pointing out that the school is meant to provide an atmosphere of convenience, comfort and inspiration to the pupils to enable them to engage in their school activities without distraction. 

Earlier in her address, the Transition committee chairman of Idemili South, Hon Amaka Obi, said it was some months ago that she paid an unscheduled visit to the school, and she was shocked by the dilapidated state of the school, which had existed for years. Then, she directed that the entire school be pulled down to be renovated by a brand new central school in line with the policy of Mr Governor to improve the educational standard at the primary school level.

The Council Boss expressed optimism that the Enuogwugwu Central schools would reduce the rate of out-of-school children, calling on the school management to take over the maintenance of the school. 


In separate remarks, the APGA Chairman of Contact and mobilization, Idemili South, Chief Prince Dozie Okafor, and other stakeholders, including Chief Sir Romeo Anyisia (Igwe Ototo Ojoto), as well as the  councilor of Ojoto ward, Hon Prince Chibueze Okoli and the head teachers of the school, appreciated the T.C. Chairman for overhauling their school and pledged commitment to ensuring that the facility is protected. 

The event was climaxed by distribution of over 300 desks to 16 schools in the council area donated by some philanthropist in partnership with the T.C chairman.
