Idemili South APGA Contact and Mobilization Endorses Amaka Obi for LG Chairmanship

Members of Contacts and Mobilization of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), have announced Hon Amaka Obi as their choice chairmanship candidate in Idemili South, saying they will ensure her electoral victory in the forthcoming LG elections slated for 28th September, 2024


The group Chairman, Chief Prince Dozie Okafor disclosed this Saturday in Ojoto during a briefing with the members of the group. 


“The endorsement became necessary as her numerous achievements and pedigree showed an unprecedented infrastructural development in the area and also her interest to contest for the chairmanship equally showed a pledge to ramp up Idemili South economic and community development", said Dozie Okafor, the chairman of contacts and mobilization.


Chief Dozie added that the endorsement was in fulfilment of the bonding, unity and peaceful coexistence between the party leadership, the contacts and mobilization group and Hon Amaka, a promise to support Amaka's candidacy immediately after the announcement of the LG polls in the state. 


The group also applauded the APGA chairman of Idemili South, Hon Kezito Anoliefo for his unflinching support to the group. 


In addition, some members of the contacts and mobilization group including Amb Obi Ngige, Nze Sunday Obinwa, Lady Ifenyinwa Nnekwelugo, Comrd Odili Mmaduora among others lauded Hon Amaka Obi for the good leadership brought in the council area, adding that Idemili South of today has been adjudged the fastest growing and developing local government in Nigeria.

By Mma Okpala  The convener of Women Initiatives For Greater Anambra(WIGA) who doubled as the Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata) has advised people of Idemili South on eye care as they celebrates World Sight Day today.  Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi said that, people should love their eyes by avoiding poor diet, abuse of drugs, alcohol and ensure they have a yearly checkup from an eye medical doctor from the age of 40. Iyom Ife-Abata who earlier offered free medical outreach stated that loving one's eye involves the people obeying the dos and don'ts for good eyesight, including avoidance of smoking, herbal preparations due to adulteration of alcohol, diets and fruits.
